I think attendance was pretty good during the Donahue and Mora reigns. We had pretty good teams for the most part that were competitive with the best teams in the country and fans did show up. The formula is simple weak team performance equals weak fan base. I dont believe we can demand butts in the stands when the overall program has been mediocre at best.
What I meant by wait and see was if the general public believes UCLA has a consistently strong and competitive program, they will show up. And honestly, I don't know if one strong season is enough to convince the fan base. It wouldn't surprise me if it took 2 or more seasons because we have been mediocre at best for decades.
