Good comments. Good/great players always make coaching a lot easier. But good defense (much like good pitching in baseball) is an essential team capability needed in order to win any championship. As far as recruiting players goes, being in the Big 10, it's my opinion that Cronin has to start recruiting more players who fit the physical style play of that conference. Need a few big strong physical guys who can bang in the paint and get some rebounds. I was hoping he would get 6'11, 255 lb Cluff but Purdue was quick to lock him up--don't know if the Bruins were even interested though.
By the way, since LeBron didn't attend college, and with the way college ball is going these days, maybe Cronin should try to recruit him. He's already got so much money now, he'd probably accept 5 Mil as spare change to carry around for tips:-)). I'd think if Baylor can get a pro admitted, UCLA should be able to do it too.
