We don't know how much the retained players were payed to stay. None of the retained players would have been highly sought by other programs. I think that only Perry and Dailey had a chance to compete for starting positions on other teams. So maybe it was money and comfort that pevented any of the players from entering the TP. I don't see retention of this group of players as a feather in Cronin's cap. But time will tell.
