And was unlucky. He knew he was going to get hit and used both of his arms to have multiple points of contact over the ball in an effort to protect it. The defender made a great play and just happened to find and punch the one spot that was vulnerable. I watched that a few times and came away with the impression that he did exactly what running backs are taught. Keeping the ball tight against your body is exactly where you are taught to have it when bracing for contact.
And I don't imagine there is another person alive that when watching this team has thought to themselves, "Wow, I really wish we had Deshaun Foster back coaching these guys."
