While I get the argument that universities have been profiting off the backs of their athletes, the current trend is unsustainable, and I don't think it is wrong that the athletes support their schools. I would propose a salary cap for players and coaches, maybe something like $1M and $5M, with any excess funds poured back into the universities' general funds. This would be a reasonable role for sports teams, and would level the playing field for recruiting.
