question on 2nd half kickoffs

announcers constantly strongly imply that the team that gets the kickoff at the start of the second half has a big advantage in the game going forward.

But what is the actual statistical advantage in the 2nd half for receiving the kickoff? - no one ever seems to ever provide that information.
