Very few players recruited by Dorrell were drafted or made the NFL. In five years, he did not recruit a single OL who was drafted or made an active NFL roster. He did not recruit a single QB who even got a cup of coffee in the NFL. His recruiting yielded no one getting drafted in 2009 and was a not insignificant factor in UCLA again getting skunked in the draft in 2012.

He got two all-time greats, Price and MJD.
