Why would we be able to hold onto an enthusiastic fan base. Just because we're UCLA? The one time in my life we seemed to be close to the MNC we supposedly lost a fumble and never recovered. In other parts of the country where people go to a football game to just have fun we don't have that here. People can have fun all kinds of ways in So Cal. Flipper's one good year we beat sc 13-9. I loved the win but hardly legendary. The UCLA football product simply does not inspire the imagination. I think Chesney has the program on the right path and I do expect dividends in the not too distant future. but now, I think the LA fan base is in a wait and see moment.
