could only draw under 25,000 people on a fine cool day in an arena that holds 65,000. Puts in perspective what the basketball program is up against - widespread indifference. All the excuses offered to explain poor attendance are just that - excuses, mostly of the invalid type. In terms of the LA fans, I believe they don't deserve winning college programs. The college programs in LA, if they win, they win in spite of the fans and their support - or lack thereof. Fans want to blame the coach, the style of play, the lack of parking, game times, days of the week, the opponent, the winning percentage, lack of championships, the distance to the event, the traffic and on and on and on ad nauseam. It really is mostly BS. What it really comes down to is that mostly people couldn't care less for whatever reason(s) - full stop.
